Description
Program: Managing the myriad of laws relating to medical time off, pregnancy leave, and family related absences is a delicate balancing act for any HR professional or business owner. Learn about your rights and obligations as employers, large or small, under the Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other leave laws. We will also discuss how the laws interact with each other and the implications for your business.
Speaker: _Attorney Julie M. Young approaches HR Law believing that “an employer’s best defense is a good
offense.” Julie has been actively partnering with employers for over 16 years to help them develop an
effective HR offense, with an emphasis on proactive compliance. Recognizing that the HR field presents unique challenges (like working with people), Julie is often heard saying “that you just can’t make this stuff up.” Whatever HR legal challenge an employer may encounter, Julie is experienced in providing creative, practical, cost-effective solutions.
