Description

Compensation Issues in Family Businesses

  1. Identifying the “market” for compensating employees:
  1. Finding wage and benefit data.
  2. Compensation models.
  1. Misclassifying workers, how to differentiate between and manage them:
  1. Independent Contractor versus Employees.
  2. Hourly versus Salaried Employees.
  1. Compensation policies and trending wage and hour law issues.
Grant Bacon, an Associate with Fishel Downey Albrecht & Riepenhoff LLP will cover these issues along with any other compensation issues you are facing in your family business.  At FDAR, Grant's practice focuses on employment law, civil litigation, workers' compensation, and public law.
