Description

Being married and in business together can be rewarding, but also presents some unique challenges and opportunities. If not managed well, the combination has potential to put a strain on both the business and the marriage. This is a critical issue since at least one-third of family businesses are (or include) husband and wife teams, and many failing relationships end in divorce.

Doug and Julaine Bierl, co-founders of Reclaiming Wholeness LLC (committed to strengthening relationships at work and at home), will lead an interactive discussion about the benefits and challenges of being married and in business together. They will share results from a recent survey of Conway members, feedback gained through interviews with married couples who are in business together, as well as lessons learned from their personal experience. They will also share tips about how to keep relationships strong to be your best in business and in marriage.

Married couples who are in business together are encouraged to attend, but the session is open to anyone who experiences any tension between work and marriage.

Program note - To those of you who attended the February 15th educational program on marriage and business, this session will benefit you too!  You'll leave this small group interactive session with tools to help strengthen relationships both at work and at home.
