Navigating the Onslaught of New HR Regulations: Are You Prepared?
There has been a lot of recent activity recently that impacts how you are operating your workplace. You may be hearing that all of these new rules are being challenged, but now is not the time to be complacent.
Sharon DeLay, President of GO-HR, will conduct this live webinar covering what you need to know so you can be prepared, including:
- DOL's new FLSA overtime exemption rules: Have you made the necessary changes to meet the July 1 deadline to comply with the new compensation threshold for your exempt employees?
- PWFA: Is your workplace culture and system set up to support your pregnant employees? The PWFA goes beyond providing accommodations for pregnant employees.
- FTC: Do you have non-competes in place? This is one of the hottest contested rules that have recently come out, but you can't be complacent assuming this rule will go away. We'll discuss some of the proactive actions you can take now.
- DEA: Is marijuana listed as a Schedule 1 drug about to go up in smoke? What does the legalization of recreational marijuana and the possible downgrade to a Schedule 3 mean for your workplace?
- EEOC: The EEOC issued enforcement guidance on harassment in the workplace, and we'll explore this and ideas how to focus less on the D and E and more on the I of DE&I of your workplace practices (and explore adding some B).
