Bringing a non-family executive into your family business can be a scary and daunting prospect, but if you don't have a family member who is ready, willing, or able to take on the challenge then it can be the solution you need to take your business to the next level. Non-family executives can breathe new life and energy into your business by bringing in new perspectives, fresh ideas, and unique solutions. So, how do you start the process, prepare your organization, and smooth the way for a new leader?
Start by joining us for this interactive Roundtable where Brad E. Bennett, of Fishel Hass Kim Albrecht LLC, will discuss the pros and cons of hiring a non-family executive. He'll answer your questions and share ideas for how you can ensure the success of a new hire by anticipating his or her concerns and challenges and taking time to prepare current employees and family members. You'll gain insight into non-family member perspectives and find out how to manage family members' expectations. Mr. Bennett also will explain HR and policy considerations including job descriptions, compensation, and recruiting.
