Description
Another year has passed in your family business – you hopefully have had your year-end tax planning meeting in anticipation of your 2019 compliance work – annual financial statements and tax returns and discussions of what kind of year it was. Then the process starts again – ahh a new year – a new decade – the slate is clean. If you are like most companies you probably have a plan for 2020 including a detailed budget. Is it the rewarding dream you have always envisioned or more like groundhog day?
It is no secret most families who own businesses have the majority of their wealth tied up in the family business, if they are lucky they have been able to extract cash from the business over the years and diversify their holdings into other investments like the stock market. Probably spending a lot of time tracking the value of those investments and reacting or making changes based on different stages of their lives – family, college, retirement etc.. – do you spend as much time understanding the value of your family business and what drives it over the long term?
Jim Rollins and Lloyd Bell of Meaden & Moore will begin to help you answer some of the following questions:
- What was your company worth 10 years ago?
- What is your company worth today?
- What do you want it to be worth at the start of the next decade?
- What are you doing now to increase value?
- How do I start this process?
This session is sponsored by Conway Service Provider Meaden & Moore.
