Be Prepared: Critical Family Business Discussions for Life Changing Events

In every family business there are conversations that you need to have sooner or later. You know, the discussions that you put off as long as possible or that have you squirming in your seat just thinking about them.  From making funeral plans, to discussing financial plans and challenges, to telling a family member that it’s time to step down -- these topics are just plain difficult for many of us to talk about. We worry about family members’ reactions, we fear that our worst thoughts will be confirmed, or we stall because we’re afraid to confront the situation.
