SUMMARY:Women in Family Business Peer Group
DESCRIPTION:Having "The Talk" - Succession & Other Difficult Conversations with Aging Parents\n\n\n\nWhen there is no succession plan in a family business\, it can cause family strife\, bad leadership\, and a lack of focus\, all of which eventually could cause the company to fail. Discussing the transition of leadership can be emotionally charged and challenging\, but addressing this topic with parents is a crucial step towards ensuring the business's future and maintaining family unity.\n\n \n\nJoin us for this discussion\, along with other emotionally taxing difficult conversations with aging parents\, such as care-giving and financial management. We'll explore some tips and tricks for fostering an open dialogue crucial for emotional conversations and effective communication techniques\n\n \n\nThese monthly group discussions are for women who own\, work for\, or play a supporting role in a family business. Topics addressing leadership\, self-care\, effective communication\, and skills for managing conflict resolution will be the focus of these sessions that allow for connection\, sharing\, inspiration\, and support. \n\n\n\nFacilitated by Bea Wolper and Kelly Jasin from Emens Wolper Jacobs & Jasin. All women who are members of the Conway Center (family\, non-family\, and service provider members) are welcome and encouraged to attend!
