SUMMARY:Time to Care: Understanding Paid Family Leave in Ohio
DESCRIPTION:Time to Care: Understanding Paid Family Leave in Ohio\n\n\n\nCaregiving is a near-universal experience. Whether caring for a new baby\, supporting an aging parent\, or navigating personal health needs\, most of us will face moments when giving or receiving care is essential. Yet\, there are still limited systems and workplace policies in place to support individuals\, families\, and employers during these critical times.\n\n\n\nTime to Care Ohio is a statewide coalition of more than 75 organizations\, chaired by Collaborate Cleveland\, working to make caregiving easier through the advancement of a statewide paid family leave policy.\n\n\n\nJoin Margie Glick\, Director of Advocacy at Collaborate Cleveland\, for an informative and interactive conversation on paid family leave in Ohio. Margie will provide a brief overview of who she is\, the policy itself\, and the current legislative effort\, before opening the discussion for questions and conversation. This session is designed to help leaders better understand the issue and explore meaningful ways to engage in this work.\n\n\n\nWhat to Expect:\n\n	\n	A 15 20 minute overview of paid family leave and the Time to Care Ohio initiative\n	\n	\n	An update on the current legislative landscape in Ohio\n	\n	\n	Open Q&A and facilitated conversation\n	\n	\n	Opportunities to learn how business leaders and organizations can get involved\n	\n\n\n\n\nMargie Glick serves as the Director of Advocacy at Collaborate Cleveland\, where she leads efforts to advance policies that support paid family leave and pay equity. She brings a broad background in policy and advocacy from roles with Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry\, the Higher Education Compact of Greater Cleveland\, Vanderbilt University's Office of Federal Relations\, and U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown. Now a mother of two\, Margie brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work\, with a strong commitment to solutions that are equitable\, empowering\, and supportive for individuals at every stage of life.
